It's been moving to see the Transformers fandom express their grief and love for Peter Cullen.

Growing up with the franchise dubbed in Spanish, I was only introduced to the enormity of Peter's lore in the second half of my life.

There have been other great actors voicing Optimus Prime, but other than being the first one, he is responsible for the tone and personality that made Optimus the leader we know. The story about his brother Larry has been repeated countless times as this origin, but it's no small anecdote. It is a light of strength and kindness that aligned the Autobots.

Condolences to his family and loved ones, that must be going through this very difficult time.
