I just saw some travel blogger share on an Instagram story that she went through a moment of panic because the videos on the Youtube channel were temporarily gone. Thankfully the situation fixed itself magically and things came back to normality.
I've seen also people find themselves locked out or with their Instagram accounts just closed, banned, hacked and losing their network and also their content.
Since starting with my #indieweb blog, I've became much more aware of people throwing effort in big social networks and always being at their mercy, which only reminds me of the importance to owning your content and how at risk content creators put themselves when devoting their effort into a platform where they are guests.
